Talebound vs Tailbound
Talebound, with an E, is Blizzard’s mode inside World of Warcraft. Tailbound, with an A, is not that mode. Two published games use the A spelling, and a studio uses TaleBound as its company name. This page only separates them.

If the sentence around your search mentions Midnight, a PTR, Slayer, or Quillgrave, you want WoW Talebound. If the sentence mentions a store page from 2022 and a mature rating, that is the Windows game spelled Tailbound. I am not describing that game’s scenes, and I am not linking its store page. The public product record is enough to show it is a different release: Carpetwurm, Windows, 12 Sep 2022, mature / sexual content rating.
Tailbound — Korean Folklore is a third product: Fervorlab, Android, with in-app purchases and ads on Google Play. The public store page reports an update on 9 September 2026; it does not establish the original release date. AppAgg returned a verification page on this review, so its earlier release-date claim is not reused. TaleBound Games is a studio name on The Elderseed’s Steam page and on taleboundgames.com. The Elderseed is their game. It is not patch 12.1.7.
How to tell in one glance
- An E, plus “World of Warcraft” or “12.1.7”: this site’s topic.
- An A, plus Steam or a 2022 Windows release: the other Tailbound.
- An A, plus Android or “Korean Folklore”: the Fervorlab game.
- “TaleBound Games” or “The Elderseed”: the studio, not the mode.
Misspellings that still mean the WoW mode include “wow tailbound” and “midnight telebound.” Those queries are why this page exists. They are not a reason to mix the products. WoW Forever is a different Blizzard mode and has its own page: Talebound vs WoW Forever.
