WoW Talebound rewards
Talebound pays you in two different places. Bound Silver buys looks at Nib in Quillgrave. A second vendor, the Travelling Raven in Silvermoon City, shows up only in PTR achievement data and hands out player power. I do not merge those lists.

Looks versus power
| Line | Where | Examples | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cosmetics | Nib, Quillgrave, Bound Silver | Transmog, mounts, pets, decor | OFFICIAL · 2 publishers |
| Titles | Achievements | Four named titles | PTR achievements · Wowhead |
| Player power | Travelling Raven, Silvermoon | Venomstones, raid caches, crests, XP draughts | PTR · 1 primary source |
The official 12.1.7 overview talks about Bound Silver and the cosmetic store. It does not list Venomstones. Wowhead’s PTR news is the primary write-up for the power rewards, and BuyBoost repeats those counts. I mark the power table PTR and I keep the itemized cosmetic catalog on cosmetics, where every mount, pet, decor piece, title, and weapon theme is a row.
What the PTR power post actually counts
- Venomstones: 40 total, described as four caches of 10, from Final Confrontation achievements on Normal, Veteran, Heroic, and Mythic.
- Raid caches: 2 Mythic, 5 Heroic, 1 Normal. The vendor named is the Travelling Raven.
- Bonus-roll Voidcaches: 3, tied to finishing improvements for all three classes at the Scribe.
- Crest pouches: 20 Champion, 40 Hero, 40 Myth, tied to Ducat achievements.
- Four XP draughts at +10% for 2 hours, one themed to each story.
- Profession crates, Voidlight Marl, a hearthstone toy, a pet toy, and a campsite also appear on that PTR list.
Ducats are the other currency. They are picked up inside tales and converted into progression, not into the cosmetic shop. Bound Silver is Warband-bound. Guides say it comes from quests, achievements, and Tales of the Storyteller, and that you are paid in Quillgrave after a tale. An exchange rate between the two currencies is not published.
Prices
Most Bound Silver prices are blank. The numbers that exist are PTR datamined decor costs of 1, 3, or 5 Bound Silver, and they are on the cosmetics table with that label. I do not copy a 5 onto a mount just because a bench costs 5. Drop rates are not published either.
Questions people ask
What are the WoW Talebound rewards?
Official posts name cosmetic rewards bought with Bound Silver: transmog, mounts, pets, housing decor, and titles from achievements. PTR data adds a separate player-power list. That second list is not in the launch overview.
Does Talebound give player power?
The live overview does not say so. PTR achievement write-ups list Venomstones, raid caches, crests, and experience draughts from a Silvermoon vendor. Treat that as PTR until it is in a live patch note.
What is Bound Silver?
A Warband-bound currency spent at Nib’s Talebound store on cosmetics. It is not the same as Ducats, which guides describe as the currency you spend to progress inside the mode.
