WoW Talebound in patch 12.1.7
Patch 12.1.7 is Echoes of the Worldcore. Talebound is one feature inside it, not the whole patch. The build has been on the PTR since 15 Oct 2026. Blizzard has not given the live date. Patch 12.2 Eclipse is a later roadmap, also undated.

Timesaver is the write-up that says 12.1.7 does not add a raid, a dungeon, or a new level cap, and that those wait for 12.2. Blizzard’s overview simply does not list them. I phrase it as “not in the published scope,” which is what I can check, and I keep Timesaver as one source for the stronger claim. The Talebound date itself is on release date. The mode’s demo clock is on demo.
Turbulent Timeways, briefly
Each Timewalking run in the event grants a stacking 5% buff. After four stacks it becomes Mastery of the Timeways, listed as +30% experience. Keeping four weeks of progress inside the eight-week event is what awards the feat of strength Master of the Turbulent Timeways VI and the Markeet of the Infinite mount. That mount is a timewalking reward, not a Nib shop mount. Talebound’s own mounts are on cosmetics.

12.2 is on this page because people searching the patch number also search the next one. It is not Talebound. Talebound’s stories, classes, and shop are 12.1.7 content. I do not pull Eclipse bosses into the Talebound boss table.
Questions people ask
What are the WoW 12.1.7 changes?
The published set is a Dornogal campaign, Talebound, four Lorewalking stories, Turbulent Timeways, Omnium Folio additions, a housing-decor fix, gathering Deftness, and UI options. A new raid is not in that list.
When does patch 12.1.7 release?
No official date. The PTR opened 15 Oct 2026. One outlet guesses 8 Dec 2026 and another repeats it. That is not a Blizzard date.
What is WoW 12.2?
Eclipse, the following roadmap: Mantle Vault, a Worldcore raid, Thraegar’s Stand, and the Midnight’s Edge dagger. Blizzard has not dated it. No date is given in the official recap.
